Design Build: The Process
Yonkman Construction uses a detailed design process. I find that our attention to details is what sets us apart.
It begins with our initial design consultation, our first opportunity to get to know you and understand your requirements. I often follow up with a visit to your home for a more detailed understanding of your lifestyle and needs.
During a second design consultation, I present preliminary drawings and listen to your feedback so that together we can progress to a finished design.
This can include any or all of the following:
- Color selection
- Kitchen Layout
- Appliance Selection
- Bathroom(s) Layout
- Plumbing Fixture Selection
- Electrical Layout
- Lighting Fixture Selection
- Hard Surface Selection (Flooring, Countertops, Backsplashes, etc)
- Tile Layout
When you approve a final design, the Yonkman Construction operations team begins its work. A project manager with personal responsibility for your project leads the team, finalizing the installation schedule, supervising all material handling when project cabinetry and materials are received and coordinating the team members and tasks that contribute to a successful, on-time and on-budget project.
Beginning with the pre-construction and construction stages, through to the final walk-thru and site clean-up, we use a series of proven quality control techniques to check and double-check every aspect of the job so that no detail has been overlooked and your completed project exceeds your expectations.
