Brothers Scott and Greg Yonkman are joint owners of Yonkman Construction, Inc. Scott Yonkman is the President of Yonkman Construction, Inc. He has been with Yonkman for 30 years and had 5 years prior experience. Scott has lived on Whidbey Island for 43 years.
Scott oversees the day to day management for the company. He also is the initial point of contact for all new customers. Scott works cooperatively with customers to understand their project goals, and then facilitates development of job drawings, specifications, estimates, schedules and contracts.
Scott is a Certified Built Green Builder and a Certified Aging-in-place Specialist. He was the 2008 SICBA President and is currently a SICBA Board Member. Scott is an Island County Planning Commissioner, a BIAW State Director, and a NAHB National Director.
Scott likes the people and the team developed here at Yonkman. Yonkman's culture is centered on creativity and integrity both in business practices, building and customer care processes. Yonkman Construction desires to be cutting edge - not to boast, but to serve.
Curtis is responsible for permit processing, as well as working within site development and project management. He began as a Laborer and had no experience before coming to work for Yonkman Construction in January of 1999. Curtis is certified in Erosion and Sediment Control, as well as First Aid/CPR. He has lived on Whidbey Island for 27 years.
Curtis enjoys working with a great team to build and provide our customers with a quality product.
Lucas grew up around the construction industry. At a young age he began working for Yonkman Construction, under his Father, Scott, during the weekends and after school. Starting as a basic laborer, he gradually worked his way up the industry ladder to become a framer. In 2006, Lucas joined the United States Army. He served one year in Afghanistan, and five years of total service as an infantryman. He is now working as a project manager, and will be apprenticing under his Father until he is ready to one day become a partner in the corporation. Lucas has over 12 years experience in the construction industry, and posses unique managerial skills he obtained as a sergeant in the Infantry.
Chris has over 25 years of experience, and since June of 1990 he has been with Yonkman Construction. He has lived on Whidbey Island for 47 years.
Chris enjoys building quality homes for Yonkman Construction, which he feels are as close to perfect as you can get. He also likes working with quality people.
Nathan has over 25 years of experience in carpentry. He is a journeyman level carpenter, and he came to work for Yonkman Construction in June of 2008. He has lived on Whidbey Island since the spring of 2008.
Nathan likes the support and respect the staff and crew have for each other here at Yonkman. The beauty of Whidbey Island, our job sites, and customers remind him of how lucky he is.
Annette is responsible for all the accounting for Yonkman Construction. She joined our staff in 2003 with 12 years of prior accounting experience. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in accounting and is a licensed CPA in the State of Washington. She has lived on Whidbey Island on and off since 1988 and now lives in Houston, TX.
Annette is very proud of the quality of the houses that Yonkman Construction builds and the personal care given to everybody who they work with.
Cheryl Nunn joined Yonkman Construction, Inc. in 2007. She acts as a liaison between builder, project manager and the client to make sure the client gets the desired finish products they want. This may include
• Space planning & evaluation of plan;
• Kitchen design & lay-out;
• Bathroom design & lay-out;
• Lighting selection & lay-out;
• Plumbing selection & lay-out;
• CAD drawings, when required;
• Color consultation;
• Hard surface selections & design / layout;
• And, when asked, help with all the little details that help turn a house into a clients dream home - according to the client's tastes.
Before coming to Yonkman, Cheryl had over 25 years experience in residential construction. She is a kitchen and bath design specialist and was a custom home project manager for 5 years prior to joining the Yonkman team. Cheryl is a licensed interior designer.
Cheryl considers Yonkman Construction, Inc. to be the premier custom builder on Whidbey Island. She feels Yonkman has a reputation for excellence and integrity. Yonkman Construction is a company she is proud to be a part of.
